Nemea is the biggest vineyard of the Balkans and has earned the title of the “Bordeaux of Southeast Europe”. It hosts a number of excellent wineries that offer a wide variety of wines. It is easy to access from Athens and a perfect destination for a full-day wine tour.
We pick you up in Athens with a Mercedes luxury minivan. We drive by the sea towards Corinth, where we make a small stop at the impressive Corinth Canal to take photos. Then we drive to Nemea, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Arriving at Ancient Nemea, we visit the remains of the Temple of Zeus, the ancient Stadium (home of the Nemean Games, as famous as the Olympia Games at the time) and the Archaeological Museum of Nemea.
Then, we visit one (or two, it depends on you) wine estates, where you will experience the unique tastes of a variety of Greek wines. We conclude our tour with a traditional Greek lunch and return to Athens.
This tour lasts 5-6 hours. It can be combined with a visit to Mycenae or Ancient Corinth.
