An amazing tour of some of the most beautiful and historical places of Greece: the palace of Mycenae, the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, the town Nafplion and Corinth Canal.
We kick off from your hotel in Athens (or the port of Piraeus) and head to the Peloponnese. Our first stop is the Corinth Canal, one of the biggest man made canals in the world. Next up is the ancient city of Mycenae, the capital of Greece around 1300 BC, at the time of the Trojan War.
Ancient Mycenae shows evidence of elite presence: high quality pottery, wall paintings, large tholos tombs.
After visiting the palace and the royal tombs, we drive on to Nafplion, one of the most beautiful towns in Greece, where we stop for lunch and a stroll around the little streets.
Finally, we drive to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, the most famous and well preserved ancient theatre. The rows of limestone seats is the secret to its astonishing acoustics, naturally amplifying high-frequency sounds from the stage.
The tour ends with a relaxing drive along the coast all the way back to Athens.
The tour lasts 8 hours.
